I live in the basement now. And there are spiders. Lots of them. The Raid isn't working, and my legs are covered in itchy red bites that happen when the spiders sneak into my bed at night. It's kind of horrifying. Suggestions? I must rid the basement of these annoying little creatures immediately.
And on another note, I'm sad tonight. I shouldn't be. We hosted a game night at my place and enjoyed a room full of fun people. But I am. It's hard to be in a new place, even when it's exciting.

this reminds me of a certain former neighbor's bed bug problem. i suggest a killing spree, forget raid, this calls for hands and feet. or, find out what kind of spiders they are, and what their predators are. although that might introduce a new set of problems. or, buy a mosquito net for around your bed.
i've found that it is often hard for me to be around a lot of people i don't know. even if i have fun with them, it feels sorta empty because you don't reallyknow them, and they don't really know you.

and the spiders - bomb the basement while your away one day duder.
Boo for spiders. I am with Megan. Stomp the Bastards. Keep boot near your bed and stomp them. As for protection at night...sadly, until they have been exterminated, maybe insect spray will help. I have the same problem with gnats and moths...boooo. Boo on basement pest.

stomping won't get rid of the source. you have to do something that wipes them all out so they can't make more spider babies.
in general, spiders are our friends-- they kill mosquitos and other icky bugs. but not when they are eating you. you might need to check your screens, sealing around windows, etc. you need to figure out how they've gotten in so you can make sure no others get in once you kill them.
